My passions are access to knowledge and equitable learning opportunities through innovative digital mediums. As a leader in elearning experience design (EXD) and certified project manager, I currently manage a team of elearning experience designers, learning specialists, and communication strategists focusing on providing just-in-time learning products and sessions for a leading federal agency.
I earned my M.B.A. from Saint Leo University and am currently working toward my Masters of Science in Instructional Design (MSID). Since 2007, she has worked with digital marketing, higher education, and financial organizations managing organizational knowledge, projects, day-to-day operations, and people. Originally from Tampa, Fla, I’m an adventurous foodie who enjoys swimming and tent camping. I also serve my community by fundraising for organizations that provide education and medical services to needy families. I love music, especially R&B and am particularly good at Lagree Pilates. My most unforgettable experience was diving off a boat into the pristine reefs and waters of Turks and Caicos.
Career Goals
As a leader in LXD my career goals are to work with clients to transform their knowledge and expertise into learner experiences. My first question to organizations, agencies, and entrepreneurs looking to develop courses is, “What do you want to teach people?”. The follow up to that is to explore solutions for making sure their learners complete a learner experience knowing what they need to do and motivated to take action.
There are many paths an instructional designer can take, my goal is to build dynamic learning experience teams to create unique learning ecosystems that consists of AI, knowledge sharing, and digital media to support informal and formal learning for just-in-time learning.
My truly believe that sharing knowledge inspires other to thrive, hustle, and be empowered to try new endeavors. I look forward to having the opportunity share my expertise through speaking at instructional design conferences and leveraging social media and podcasts to mentor other instructional designers to use human-centered design and learning experience design models in their approach.
